Alliances make a Difference

Fur-Ever Friends is dedicated to improving the well-being of animals in the Piedmont Triad. With assistance from dedicated volunteers and generous donors, our organization plays a vital role in animal welfare.

A Spirit of Cooperation

Our group connects with other animal welfare organizations and agencies throughout the area in an effort to better the lives for all dogs and cats in our community. We work to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty and exploitation of all animals and to ensure that their interests and well being are fully, effectively and humanely protected by an aware and caring society. Although Fur-Ever Friends has no facilities for animal care, we work alongside other organizations to ensure care is available when needed. In addition, we use donations to the Rico Fund to serve animals in need of treatment for catastrophic illnesses and injuries. We collaborated with another organization and raised money to equip every fire truck in Forsyth County, NC with an animal rescue oxygen mask. In a partnership with area schools, houses are built and distributed to dogs and feral cats.

A Voice for the Voiceless

Fur-Ever Friends is an important source for advocacy and education. Our volunteers help persuade legislators and government officials understand issues like animal cruelty, overpopulation, tethering (chaining dogs), fighting and abandonment. We sponsor programs to educate our community about proper animal care and ways to become animal advocates. The organization helps law enforcement realize the importance of prohibiting the use of animals in fighting.
