Cruelty Investigation & Education
Educating law enforcement officers on ordinances and guidelines for assessing animal cruelty situations is vital to
Fur-Ever Friends' mission. Each year, training sessions are held with a certified animal cruelty investigator for law enforcement and Assistant District Attorneys. To date, over 200 law enforcement and Assistant District Attorneys have been trained, representing 30 different agencies and 18 counties in North Carolina.
In addition, Fur-Ever Friends maintains a Cruelty Fund that offers monetary rewards for the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for acts of animal cruelty. If you would like to donate to our Cruelty Fund, please click here.
