Fur-Ever Friends volunteers dedicate themselves to the Forsyth County animal shelter every Sunday from 1-4pm by keeping its doors opens so the public can come in and adopt animals on a day it is otherwise closed. Our volunteers spend time walking and socializing with animals, helping prospective adopters find their new furry friend, clean kennels, wash dishes and do laundry. May of our volunteers are also on-site during the week providing the same care and attention to the animals.

The shelter is located at 5570 Sturmer Park Circle, near the corner of University Parkway + Shattalon Drive in Winston-Salem. The adoption phone # is 336.703.3647 (336.703.DOGS).

DIRECTIONS: I-40 to Hwy 52 North. Go about 7 miles and take the University Parkway SOUTH exit. In approximately 1 mile, at Shattalon Drive, turn Right. Take the next right (across from the fire station) onto Sturmer Park Circle. Veer slightly to the right – the shelter is the white building at the top of the hill.
